Guru Purnima celebration at Ara

Ara: Guru Purnima was celebrated at Ara with traditional devotion on Tuesday. The locals thronged different temples and offered prayers since early morning. Then they went to their teachers and religious guru and sought blessings from them. Their gurus also organized feast for their disciples. Students of classical music went to their guruji where music programme was organized. Sai Palki was taken out from Budhawa Mahadev temple on Mahadeva road that passed through the main thoroughfares of the town and culminated at Pataleshwar Temple at Mahajan Toli No 1. The palki was taken out to mark Guru Purnima. Hundreds of men, women and girls participated in the procession. Elephants, camels, horses were also part of the procession.
