Sasaram: Rohtas police arrested four persons suspected to be members of a  naxal group Tritiya Prastuti Committee (TPC) on Monday evening in connection with bomb explosion outside the gate of Sasaram civil court. on July 13 , 2016. Police also seized huge quantity of explosives, firearms, four motorcycles and a Swift Desire from their possession.

Rohtas SP M S Dhillon said that Sachin Mahto alias Guddu, a close relative of advocate clerk Bijay Sah, an active member of a naxal group languishing in jail, was killed in a bomb explosion in his motorcycle at the gate of Sasaram civil court on July 13.

After the bomb explosion, a police team under ASP (operations) Md. Suhail was formed to arrest other members of naxal group. Police arrested two persons: Binod Chaudhary and his brother Raj Kumar Chaudhary of village Bansa for allegedly demanding levy from brick kiln owners. On their revelation, police arrested Manoj Ram from Kanchanpur and Harendra Ram from Hathini under Nokha police station. Harendra Ram was living in an outhouse at village Medini under Sasaram Muffassil police station.

Police recovered two rifles, a Chinese pistol, a countrymade pistol, live cartridges and four motorcycles from the possession of Harendra Ram. Police also raided a godown of Binod Chaudhary at Karwadia hill. Both the brothers are associated with Sameerji alias Rohitji of TPC. Police recovered 27,000 electronic detonators, 16 packets Amonium Nitrate, 20 piece of Gelatine sticks from the godown and also recovered 1,500 pieces of  detonators from the outhouse of Ashok Baitha, a Swift Desire and 5kg Amonim Nitrate and six pieces ready detonator from Manoj hideout. Ashok Baitha and Manoj are yet to be arrested.
