Governor releases 1st list of students for admission to degree courses

Patna : Bihar Governor cum Chancellor of State Universities Satya Pal Malik on July 15, 2018, released first list of 3.44 lakh students who will take admission in different streams in Degree Part 1 in 440 collges under 10 universities of the state from July 16 to July 24, 2018. The students were selected on the basis of online applications. Altogether 4.11 lakh students have applied online for admission to different degree courses. The list was released at Raj Bhavan.

Governor Malik expressed his happineess over the successful implementation of Online Facilitation System for Students (OFSS) and said it would help in maintaining the academic calendar in the universities. About 3,400 Vasudha Kendra and 314 District Registration cum Advivisory Centres also participated in the process. Governor Malik congratulated Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) Chairman Anand Kishore, IAS, for conducting the online admission process successfully and said it would lead to transparency in admission process.

Anand Kishore informed Governor Malik that earlier the students had to apply separately to different institutions to seek admission which caused a lost of problems to them.
