Bagaha : Sunita Devi, 26, wife of Rameshwar MusaharĀ  of village Sabaya-Musayee in Ausani -Mangalpur panchayat under Bagaha-2 block died after delivering a male baby at the Primary Health Centre (PHC), Bagaha-2, on July 15, 2018, early morning, allegedly due to negligence of the doctor on duty in handling the delivery case. Her family members and the locals created ruckus at the hospital.

According to Rameshwar Musahar, his wife was admitted to the Primary health Centre (PHC), Bagaha-2, around 9 pm on July 14, 2018, after labour pain. She delivered a male baby on July 15 morning. But, few hours after the delivery, her condition started deteriorating due to profuse bleeding. He repeatedly cried for medicare but the doctor on duty Jamil Ahmad did not come to examine the patient in time and referred her to Sub-Divisional Hospital, Bagaha, where the doctors declared her brought dead.

After the death of Sunita, the situation became so that the ambulance that had carried her to the Sub-Divisional Hospital left the body there and returned. Her family members hired a vehicle and reached home and performed her last rites the same day.

PHC Incharge Dr Rajesh kumar Singh admitted that cause of death was excessive bleeding. Bagaha SDM Ghanshyam Meena has assured to get the matter inquired into to take stern action against the doctor.
