Gang rape victim succumbs to injuries at Sadar Hospital, Ara

Ara : A middleage woman, who was gangraped and thrashed by three youth at village Khopira under Pawana police station in Bhojpur district on July 14, 2018, evening, succumbed to her injuries at Sadar Hospital, Ara, on July 15, 2018, evening, during treatment. An FIR has been lodged with Pawana police station but no arrest has so far been made in this connection.

SHO, Pawana police station, said that three youth from village Maniachch had come to village Khopira around 7 pm on July 14 to meet Nand Kumar Musahar but his wife (45) told them that her husband had gone to Chennai to earn three months ago. At this, they requested her to escort them to some distance which she happily agreed to. The three youth took her to a secluded place where they gangraped her on July 14 evening. When she protested, they thrashed her and when she fell unconscious, they threw her into a bush nearby and escaped.

When she did no returm home tiil late night, her family members were quite concerned. But, all their efforts to trace her went in vain. On July 15 morning, some shepherd located her in the bush in a field crying for help and informed her family members who rushed her to Sadar Hospital, Ara,  where she succumbed to her injuries the same evening.
