Patna : Bihar governor Ram Nath Kovind while addressing the people after hoisting the tri-colour at historic Patna Gandhi Maidan on the Republic Day on January 26, 2017, lauded the state government for making positive efforts to n provide good governance ( Sushasan) with justice to the people. The governor said that establishing rule of law was the top priority of the state government, which is also maintaining zero tolerance against corruption.

The governor also referred to `Sat Nischay'(seven resolves) of the government for the development of the state besides the `Bihar Public Grievances Redressal Right Act', `Bihar Students’ Credit Card scheme’, `Lok Samvad Karyakram', `Kushal Yuva Karyakram',`Bihar Startsup policy 2016′, and`Bihar Industrial investment incentive policy 2016′ in this regard. With regard to power, the governor said that the government had taken it up as challenge to improve power supply in the state and added that the situation was fast improving.

The government has laid the foundation of social change by enforcing prohibition and over three crore people participated in formation of 11,400 km long human chain across Bihar on January 21,  2017, the governor said. Earlier, he was welcomed by CM Nitish Kumar when he reached Gandhi Maidan. He also inspected the parade.
