Girl raped at Madhubani village

Madhubani: An FIR of rape of a minor girl was lodged with Mahila police station  by the victim belonging to a village under Rahika block in Madhubani district late Friday evening. Four boys of the village have been named in the FIR.
According to the FIR, the victim was returning home after attending a marriage at the village in the wee hours on Friday (about 1 am) along with her sister-in-law. As she was some yards behind her sister-in-law, four boys of the village gagged her and forcibly took her to a nearby field and one of them raped her. When members of her family came out in her search, the culprits fled from the scene.

The victim and members of her family alleged that when they went to Rahika police station to lodge the FIR, they were asked to first go to the hospital for medical examination. But, the doctor at the sadar hospital sent them back to the police station. Lastly, the FIR was finally lodged late on Friday evening with Mahila police
station. Sadar SDPO, Kumar Indra Prakash, informed the culprits have been identified and medical examination of the victim had already been done. Police are conducting rids at possible hideouts of the culprits, he added.
