Gaya: Demanding arrest of Rocky Yadav,main accused in the murder of Aditya Sachdeva,a 19 year old student, at Rampur at Magadh divisional headquarters on Saturday night, residents of the town observed near total bandh.Incidents of arson and road blockade were reported during the bandh which was led by the leader of opposition in Bihar assembly,Prem Kumar,who represents Gaya in the House.Over 100 NDA workers led by Kumar courted arrest.Commercial establishments and shops remained closed.Bandh supporters tried to stop movement of some trains at Gaya railway station too.

Meanwhile additional cheif judicial magistrate S K Jha sent to 14 days judicial custody- Bindeshwari alias Bindi Yadav,father of Rocky, and Rajesh Kumar,security guard of the JD(U) MLC Manorama Devi,who were produced in the court.They were arrested on Saturday night and the SUV used by legislator’s son was recovered from the residential premises of Bindi Yadav,a former president of Gaya district panchayat.Rajesh Kumar was with Rocky when the incident took place and he did not prevent him from firing on Aditya.

Coming out of the court,Bindi claimed he was innocent and was implicated in a political conspiracy.Bindi, who till yesterday was claiming his son had fired in self defence from his liscenced pistol ,on Monday claimed his son was innocent.The two were sent to Gaya central jail.The MLC has so far not made any statement. JD(U) national secretary general K C Tyagi,ruled out any action agaisnt Manorama Devi saying law was taking its own course and she was not involved in the incident.

Bindi Yadav,who is notorious for his criminal activities and links with the Maoists, is the second big leader of ruling Grand Alliance in Magadh region to be jailed.Raj Ballabh Yadav,a former minister and RJD MLA who is in jail on charges of raping a minor girl, was produced in a court at Biharsharif.His bail petition was rejected.Two other ruling alliance legislators-Gopal Mandal and Sarfaraz Alam who were involved in crimes earlier were also arrested a few weeks back.
