Patna : Notorious gangster Prabhas Yadav, who was carrying a reward of Rs 50,000 on his head, was arrested in a joint operation of STF and Naugachia Police district from his house in Kaharpur Diara (riverine area) at 8:30 am on August 5, 2018. Bihar Government had announced a reward of Rs 50,000 on his head on July 19, 2018, following a proposal from Naugachia Police district on July 10, 2018.
Prabhas Yadav, son of Vasudev Yadav alias Babu Sahab, a resident of Kaharpur under Bihpur police sation in Naugachia police district, was running an organized gang to commit heinous crimes including murder, kidnapping, and was wanted in 11 cases in Naugachia police district. He had created such a terror that the people in the area were afraid to report or lodgg an FIR against him
Prabhas Yadav operated mainly under Jhandapur Police Outpost (OP) and Khareek police station in Naugachia police District and adjoining Chausa police sation area in Madhepura district, according to Naugachia SP. The Naugachia police has described Prabhas Yadav’s arrest as a significant development.
