Patna : World No 7 in Badminton World Federation (BWF) rankings Kento Momota, 23, Japan, easily beat World No 3 Shi Yuqi, 22, China, 21-11, 21-13 in the final on August 5, 2018, to lift the men’s singles title and Gold Medal in the BWF World Championship at Nanjing, China. Momota had won Bronze Medal BWF World Championship at Jakarta in Indonesia, in 2015. Shi Yuqi won the Silver Medal. Yuqui had won All England Open championship title in 2018.
