Patna: A Patna Police team on December 25  arrested four youth from Fatuha and recovered 40 bottles of IMFL from the four-wheeler on which they were travelling. Police also seized the OLA car and four cellphones, said Senior SP (SSP) Manu Maharaaj.

The SSP had received inputs that some persons had brought liquor from Bengal through train and were to supply the consignment to local traders on the occasion of Christmas and New Year. The SSP immediately alerted Fatuha police station SHO Sujit Kumar about it.

A police team led by SHO started carrying out raids and came to know that some persons, travelling by a Tata Indica associated with OLA were bringing liquor to Patna. The police team chased the vehicle and intercepted it. When the cops thoroughly checked the vehicle, they found 40 bottles of IMFL hidden in two trolley bags. Police arrested Lalan Kumar, a resident of village Mohanpur under Raghopur ps in Vaishali, and Rajesh Kumar, a native of village Ganj Par Sheikhpura under Chandi ps in Nalanda.

Acting on the revelations made by the arrested persons, police later arrested local suppliers- Rohit Kumar, a resident of Munnachak under Patrakarnagar ps in Patna, and Kundan Kumar, a resident of Khalispur under Sarairanjan ps in Samstipur. Police seized 40 bottles of IMFL, two OLA cars and four cellphones from the possession of the arrested persons.
