Patna : A civic action programme was organised on December 25 at the four camps of 131st Battalion of CRPF located at Bhimbandh, Kajra, Berhat and Belhar. Essential items and medicines were distributed free of cost among poor of naxal affected remote areas including Bhimbandh, Sonarwa, Gurmaha, Barmasia, Narcol, Chormara, Kanimoi, Bagdaswa, Hanumansthan, Sitlakodasi, Karmegh and Paisra free of cost under the programme. The programme was conducted under the supervision of IG, CRPF, Bihar Sector, Arun Kumar.
With a view to providing job opportunities to unemployed youth, a poultry farm was inaugurated at village Sonarwa in Munger district while two handpumps have been installed at Adhwaria and Bhimbandh. Fifty houses at village Sonarwa were provided one hundred LED bulbs. A computer kiosk has been set up at CRPF camp, Berhat, to provide job related information to unemployed youth.
