FIR lodged against Rajya Sabha member Anil Sahni, wife

Muzaffarpur : An FIR has been lodged with Bochaha police station in Muzaffarpur district against six persons including Rajya Sabha (RS) member Anil Sahni and his wife in connection with marriage and  separation of his sister Sunita.The FIR was lodged by former Mukhia of  Sarfuddinpur Sushma Devi following a Muzaffarpur court directive.

Sunita was married to Pravir, son of Sushma Devi and Rameshwar Sahni. But, both the sides had lodged FIR against each other after the marriage alleging demand for dowry and assault respectively. Sushma Devi had also lodged a complaint with a Muzaffarpur court alleging she and her family members were assaulted by Anil Sahni and his family members. The court took cognisance of it and ordered for lodging an FIR against the accused.

Anil Sahni, MP, who has been suspended from the JD(U) for alleged irregularities in his air travel, has claimed that he and his wife were in Delhi on the day they had been accused of assaulting  Sushma Devi and her family members. Muzaffarpur SSP Vivek Kumar said that everything would be clear after police investigation into the matter.
