FIR lodged against Mukhia, hubby for allegedly cheating youth

Ara : A named FIR was lodged with Town police station Ara, against the Mukhia, Karwasin panchayat under Agiaw block in Bhojpur district, Asha Rani and her husband Gauri Shankar Sharma alias Anil for allegedly realising over Rs 10 crore from unemployed youth of Bhojpur, Buxar, Rohtas and Kaimur districts for providing them government job.

Birendra Sharma, panchayat secretary, Karwasin panchayat, and Gauri Shankar Sharma had allegedly collected over Rs 10 crore from hundreds of unemployed youth of Bhojpur, Rohtas, Buxar and Kaimur districts, at the rate of Rs 3 lakh a youth in 2014 for managing their jobs in different government departments but the youth did not get the job and now making efforts to get their money back.

Meanwhile, Birendra Sharma as a panchayat secretary, Karwasin Panchayat, got a cheque of Rs 9,000 for a welfare scheme but he allegedly manipulated the amount mentioned on the cheque and drew Rs 9 lakh in place of Rs 9,000. When the matter came to light, he was arrested and sent to jail. He was released on bail two months ago.

Birendra Sharma alleged that Gauri Shankar Sharma had taken money from the youth and purchased 1.25 bigha of land at Dulhinbazaar in Patna district and some land at Bramhpur village under Agiaw police station. Gauri Shankar also constructed a three storey building at Chaukhambha gali with the money, Birendra alleged. He said that the youth are now putting pressure on him to return the money while Gauri Shankar Sharma had taken all the money. He alleged said that Gauri Shankar Sharma purchased four vehicles (three Scorpio and one Innova).

Gauri Shankar Sharma could not be contacted for his comments on the matter despited repeated calls. The SHO, Ara Town Police station, confirmed that an FIR had been lodged by some youth with police in this connection. Police were inquiring into the allegations and looking for the accused.
