FIR lodged against JD(U) MLA from Kuchaikot Amrendra Pandey for threatening BJP leader

Patna :  An FIR was lodged against JD (U) MLA from Kuchaikot Assembly segment Amrendra Kumar Pandey alias Pappu Pandey with Uchakagaon police station in Gopalganj district on October 26, 2018. The police station lodged an FIR against the ruling party MLA on the statement of BJP leader Shiv Kumar Upadhyay after carrying out investigation into the allegations levelled by him against the former for three days. SHO, Uchakagaon police station, Brijbhushan Singh said that an FIR had been lodged against JD (U) MLA after proper investigation.
It may be mentioned here that Shiv Kumar Upadhyay, BJP Gopalganj district working committee member and resident of village Shivrajpur, had alleged that he was threatened by JD (U) MLA on October 22. He said that he was on way
to Deoria (Uttar Pradesh) to attend his niece’ marriage ceremony. Upadhyay alleged that the MLA overtook
his vehicle near Asandapur, used abusive language and threatened to eliminate him. He said that since he is a BJP supporter, the MLA remains annoyed with him. Upadhyay claimed that he has a video of entire incident.
However, JD (U) MLA Amrendra Kumar Pandey alias Pappu Pandey said that a road passes through Upadhyay’s field. He said that a few days ago, some villagers were unloading soil there and this was prevented by Upadhyaya and his brother. Pandey alleged that Upadhyay publicly used abusive language against him. He said that he had met Upadhyay and asked him that why he had
used abusive language against him. “If there is any political differences, then he can protest under constitutional process,” said
Pandey adding that some people have tampered the video and uploaded it on social media to malign his image.
Pandey said that police is investigating the allegations and he has full faith in law. Everything would be clear in police investigation, he added.
