FIR lodged against former Mukhia for taking IAY benefit thrice

Buxar : A named FIR was lodged with Simari police station in Buxar district against former Mukhia, Simari panchayat, Rita Devi, wife of Munna Paswan, on May 3, 2018, on the statement of Block Development Officer (BDO), Simari, for allegedly taking benefits of Indira Awas Yojana (IAY) thrice by changing the name of her husband. An FIR was also lodged against the then panchayat secretaries: Raj Kishor, Havaldar Singh and Indira Awas Assistant Binod Kumar for helping her.

On public complaints that former Mukhia Rita Devi took benefits of Indira Awas Yojana thrice by changing name of her husband in the years 2007-2008, 2013-2014 and 2015-2016, the Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC), Buxar, had inquired into the matter and found the complaints correct. The DDC had on April 13, 2018, ordered for lodging FIR in this connection against persons concerned.
