Buxar : An incident of a private coaching centre owner Sonu Singh fleeing with a minor girl student has come to light after her father lodged a named FIR with Brahmpur police station in Buxar district on September 24, 2017, against Sonu, his father and brother but no arrest has so far been made in this connection.

SHO, Brahmpur police station, D N Singh said that the daughter of Budhan Singh of village Bharkhar under Brahmpur police station, a student of class IX, used to go to a private coaching centre at her village for  tuition. On September 2, 2017, she went to the coaching for tuition but did not return home.

When she did not return till late evening, her father and other family members searched for her and came to know that the owner of the coaching centre Sonu Singh of the same village had allegedly fled away with her with a view to marrying her. Budhan Singh went to the house of Sonu Singh where his father Harimohan Singh and brother Manu Kumar Singh assured Budhan Singh that the girl and Sonu will return very soon. When they did not return till September 23, 2017, Budhan Singh lodged a named FIR against Sonu Singh, his father Harimohan Singh and brother Manu Kumar Singh. The SHO said that the culprits will be arrested after inquiry and police will recover the girl at the earliest.
