FIR against 5 named, 50 unnamed persons for thrashing women, boyfriend in Bagaha

Bagaha : Police have lodged a case under various section of the IPC against five named and 50 unknown persons for thrashing a married woman and her alleged boyfriend at village Santpur under Valmikinagar police station in Bagaha police district on the complaint petition filed by Anju Kumari, wife of Liladhar Guru of village Santpur.

Anju Kumari has alleged in her petition that one Abhishekh Kumar, a co- villager of her parents, had come to her in-laws’ house to meet her on June 17, 2019,and was returning home but on the way  Indrani Mahto, Durgesh Mahto, Akshay Kumar, Suman Kazi, and Rajkumar Kazi and others caught him and brought him over to her house and tied both of them with a rope, thrashed them and also paraded them on the village street stating that she loved Abhishekh Kumar and he had come to meet her at her in-laws’  house.

SHO, Valmikinagar police station, Jai Prakash Singh, on the basis of the complaint, lodged an FIR against the accused. The  SHO said that police were searching for the accused and investigating the case. Police released Anju Kumari and Abhishekh on furnishing personal bond as both are adult though belong to different castes.
