FIR against 3 for demanding Rs 5 lakh from Chief Councillor, Jagdishpur Nagar Panchayat

Ara : Rita Kumari, former Chief Councillor, Jagdishpur Nagar Panchayat in Bhojpur district, on March 9, 2018, lodged a named FIR with Jagdishpur police station against three  persons : Ranjit Raj, Mukesh Singh and Markandey Singh, charging them with demanding  ‘Rangdari’ ( extortion amount) of Rs 5 lakh from her husband and Chief Councillor Mukesh Kumar Guddu threatening him with dire consequences if he did not yield to their demand.

Rita Kumari alleged that she was visiting her ward when the named accused intercepted her near Hunhun Gosai bridge and asked for Rs 5 lakh from her husband and  Chief Councillor Mukesh Kumar Guddu.
