Federer to meet del Porto in Indian Wells Masters final

Patna : World Number 1 in ATP rankings and top seed Roger Federer, 36, Switzerland, will meet World Number 8 and 6th seed Juan Martin del Porto, 29, Argentina, in the final of Indian Wells Masters 1000 tennis tournament at California, USA, on March 18, 2018, night (IST).

Five time champion Federer defeated World Number 49 Borna Coric, 21, Croatia, in a three-set thriller 5-7, 6-4, 6-4, in the semi-finals on March 17, 2018, late night, to enter the final. Federer was down 5-7, 2-4 down at one stage in the match but recovered to win the second and third sets. He appreciated Coric saying he was incredibly steady.

del Porto defeated World Number 38 Milos Raunic, 27, Canada, the 32nd seed, 6-2, 6-3, in a one sided match to enter the final.
