Buxar : Some unidentified armed miscreants shot dead a farmer Binod Kumar near village Baksada under Itardhi police station in Buxar district on November 25, 2017, and escaped firing in the air. Irate villagers blocked the road at Jyoti Chowk with the body of the deceased for about two hours and blamed the police for the incident saying they reached the place of occurrence an hour late despite getting information about it.
SDPO, Shaishav Yadav, said that Binod Kumar of village Amaritua under Krishnagarh police station in Buxar district had purchased 5 bigha of land at village Kanpur in Buxar district and allegedly had dispute with Lalan Koeri over the plot. A few days ago both of them had exchanged fire.
On November 25, Binod Kumar was going to his field. When he reached near village Baksada some unidentified miscreants shot him dead. Later, police brought the body to Buxar Sadar Hospital but the villagers did not allow his autopsy and blocked the road at Jyoti Chowk with the body. The villagers alleged that police were hand in glove with the miscreants hence reached the spot an hour late despite getting information.
