Muzaffarpur : Muzaffarpur district administration has deployed police and executive magistrates at 24 points on Sri Krishna Medical College Hospital (SKMCH), Muzaffarpur, campus including its four gates following vandalism and arson on the hospital campus on April 21, 2017. Muzaffarpur falls in North Bihar and is 67 km away from Bihar capital, Patna.
SSP, Muzaffarpur, Vivek Kumar, said that police had taken four persons into custody in connection with April 21 incident on SKMCH campus. Angry over the assault on some of their colleagues on April 20 night by the attendants of a patient after latter’s death, the Junior Doctors(JDs) of SKMCH not only proceeded on strike but also set ablaze five ambulances on the hospital campus besides damaging several vehicles on April 21. This led to fight between the JDs and ambulance drivers turning the hospital campus into a battle ground. The situation was brought under control at 7 pm on April 21.
