Ara :  Government Railway Police (GRP), Buxar, with the help of Bhojpur police conducted raids in  Godana road locality under Nawada police station , Ara, on April 21, 2017, evening and arrested Daya Shankar Pandey in connection with bomb explosion on railway track at Nadaw halt near Buxar railway station under Danapur rail division of the East Central railway, Hajipur, on February 6, 2017.

Daya Shankar is son of Dashrath Pandey, a retired CRPF personnel, and had completed ‘Acharya’ from Varanasi in Utter Pradesh. He was in constant touch with an absconder J P Paswan alias Shatrughan Paswan of Buxar said to be mastermind of the bomb explosion. Later, Daya Shankar  was sent to Buxar jail. Earlier, police had arrested Manoj Kumar Singh, son of Gupteshewar Singh from Agrer Kala village under Suryapura police station in Rohtas district on March 17, 2017. He had confessed his involvement in the bomb explosion.

Rail SP Jitendra Mishra said that a bomb was exploded on the rail track when Varanasi-Sealdah Upper India Express was passing from Nadav halt near Buxar railway station on February 6, 2017, though no untoward incident took place. An FIR was lodged with the GRP, Buxar, against unknown persons. Mishra said that the police would arrest J P Paswan very soon.
