EOU conducts raids on premises of MVI, Sheohar

Buxar : A team of Economic Offence Unit (EOU) conducted riad at the house of MVI, Sheohar, Mithilesh Kumar Singh, at Kopawa in Buxar district, his native village, on November 18, 2017, in connection with its probe into his  disproportionate assets.
SP, Economic Offence Unit, Rashid Khan, said that the EOU has lodged a case against MVI, Sheohar, Mithilesh Kumar Singh, and after that teams of the agency conducted raids at his native village Kopawa in Buxar district besides Kishanganj, Patna, and Jharkhand. He said when the EOU team reached village Kopawa, Mithilesh Kumar Singh’s house was found locked.

The team broke open the lock of four rooms of the house and seized some important papers, the EOU SP said. The team also seized a safe the lock of which could not be broken. He said the house was sealed. He  said that the raids were still on.
