Patna : England beat New Zealand (NZ) by 119 runs in the 41st match of CWC at Riverside Ground, Chester-le Street, UK, to seal a semi-final berth in the tournament. Replying to England’s 305/8, NZ were all out for 186 in 45 overs with Tom Latham (wk) scoring 57.

Kane Williamson (captain) and Ross Taylor were run out for 27 and 28 runs respectively. NZ openers Martin Guptil and Henry Nicholls scored just 8 and 0 respectively. James Neesham made 19.

For England, fast bowler Mark wood took 3/34 in 9 overs. England opener Jonny Bairstow, who scored 106, was declared Player of the Match. NZ have lost three successive games in this tournament.
