Patna : England were all out for 329 runs within 30 minutes of play in the first session on Day 4 in their second innings in the 5th Ashes test at Kennington Oval, London, on September 15, 2019, setting a tough target of 399 for Australia to win the test with almost two days’ play still left.. Stuard Broad remained unbeaten on 12 in 9 balls with 2 sixes.
Resuming at their overnight score of 313/8, England lost their 9th wicket at 317 when Jofra Archer fell to Pat Cummins for 3. Jack Leach fell to spinner Nathan Lyon for 9 and England were 329 all out but not before Stuard Broafd hit 2 sixes in Pat Cummins’s 21st over. For Australia, spinner Nathan Lyon took 4/69 in 24.3 overs while Pat Cummins took 2/67 in 21 overs. Peter Siddle and all-rounder Mitchell Marsh took two wickets each.
Australia had scored 225 in their first innings while England were all out for 294 in their first innings. Australia lead the series 2-1.
