Ara : Ramuna Dhanuk, 60, was shot at and seriously injured at village Sarangpur under Ara Muffasil police station in Bhojpur district on January 5, 2019, night, by some armed persons. The injured person was admitted to Sadar Hospital, Ara, where the doctors there referred him to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) in virew of his critical condition. Old enmity is said to the reason behind the incident.
An FIR has been lodged with Ara Muffasil police station but no arrest has so far been made in this connection. SHO, Ara Muffasil police station, said that Yamuna Dhanuk, son of late Lorik Dhanuk of village Sarangpur under Ara Muffassil police station, was shot at and injured by some youth. During birth ceremony of a child in the neighbourhood he had some tiff with some youth of the village about three days ago, the SHO said and added that on January 5 night, when Yamuna Dhanuk was going to take water from a well at the village, some armed persons shot at and injured him and escaped.
The SHO said that police are conducting raids at different places to arrest the miscreants and hoped that they would be nabbed at the earliest.
