Motihari : East Champaran police on Saturday submitted chargesheet  against two accused in a case of gang rape of a minor girl at a village under Pipra  police station and prayed the court  for speedy trial of the case.

The minor girl was gangraped by two fellow villagers on June 15 morning in a mango orchard at knife point. Police had arrested both the accused on the day of incident itself and they were sent to jail. The condition of the survivor is critical and she was operated at PMCH on Friday. Two lady police constables and a magistrate have been deputed at PMCH ward for her security by East Champaran district administration. Union minister Upendra Kushawaha had visited the home of the girl on Saturday.

The incident had triggered strong protest by the people and dfferent organisations had staged demonstration at Motihari for three consecutive days recently. Pipra market remained close on Saturday.
