Muzaffarpur : Muzaffarpur district administration on February 22, 2017, launched a drive to administer Vitamin A dose to 6.20 lakh children by February 27. This follows directive by Muzaffarpur DM Dharmendra Singh, who has asked doctors to visit different areas particularly dalit colonies to ensure all the children are administered Vitamain A dose. The DM has warned of stern action in cases of negligence in duty. The DM is himself monitoring the drive.

Muzaffarpur Civil Surgeon (CS) Dr Lalita Singh on February 23 said that the drive started from village Rohua under Mushari block at an Aanganwadi  centre on February 22 and it would continue till February 27. CS Dr Singh said that 1.25 lakh children were administered Vitamin A dose on February 22 in the district.
