Ara : Dr Laliteshwar Prasad Jha, Bhagalpur, took over as the Civil Surgeon, Bhojpur, from Dr Jagdish Singh on April 6, 2019. He was earlier the ACMO at Ara Sadar Hospital. Dr Jagdish Singh has been promoted to the post of Additional Director, Health Services, Patna.
After assuming charge as the Civil Surgeon, Dr Laliteshwar Prasad Jha said that he would try to streamline the medicare system at all the Primary Health Centres, Additional Primary Health Centres, Referral Hospitals, and Ara Sadar Hospital in Bhojpur district. Dr Jha added that he would try not to refer patients to Patna Medical College and Hospital unless it is necessary.
