Chas ( Jharkhand) : Packaged milk being delivered to households is a common sight every morning. With a view to giving the students an insight into what goes into providing pure and healthy milk to the people every morning, Class VI & VII students of DPS Chas, in Bokaro district, along with their class teachers were taken to the Sudha Dairy Farm, Bokaro.

This short trip brought the children aware of different process involved in Diary Farming. The students were  taken to the Pasteurization and Packaging Section, a popular way of preserving milk. In the laboratory, they were shown how Urea mixed milk is tested. They saw the entire plant.

Ravindra Kumar, General Manager of the plant, threw light on the entire process and asserted that Sudha Dairy believes in purity. He also informed that 75,000 litre milk is produced everyday and they are covering not only Bokaro but some parts of Bengal and as well as Bihar. They are producing four different types of milk. The students were also offered Sudha Dairy products for refreshment. The students gave their handmade Thanks Giving Cards to the Manager
