Sitamarhi : Bihar Urban Development Minister Suresh Kumar Sharma while inaugurating the three-day  Sitamarhi Mahotsav on June 28, 2019, evening on Punaura Dham Janaki temple premises said the State Government is working sincerely on  Janaki Circuit.

Sharma said that the birthplace of Ma Janaki is an international place but its splendid past have not been properly publicised. Ayodhya and Janakpurdhan in Nepal are connected by road via Sitamarhi but in future railways may be an option. Tourism minister K K Rishi said that more funds will be allocated from next year for this annual event. Sitamarhi DM Dr Ranjeet Kumar Singh welcomed the guests and outlined the history Sitamarhi and Goddess Janaki.
Sitamarhi MP Sunil Kumar Pintu, MLA Dr  Ranju Geeta, Sitamarhi SP Anil Kumar, Zila Parishad chairperson Uma Devi, Public Prosecutor Arun Kumar Singh, DDC Prabhat Kumar, Civil SDO M K Gupta, SDPO (Sadar) K V Dhirendra were prominent among those addressing the inaugural function. Artists, singers, and Sitamarhi DM Dr Singh regaled the audience at the culture programme.
