Chas ( Jharkhand) : The boarders of Delhi Public School Chas in Bokaro district had a wonderful evening on March 14, 2019. After the conclusion of final exams, it was a much-needed break for the students. A visit to City Park and Ayyappa Temple in Bokaro was scheduled.

The hostellers dressed in their best outfit boarded the bus from school at around 4 pm. The weather after a slight drizzle cooled down as if to support the children’s excitement. The first halt was City Park where the children chose their spot to settle down. They rejoiced singing and dancing all the while. Refreshments from Dominos added to the spirits of the children.

With dusk setting in, the bus carrying the revellers proceeded towards Ayyappa Temple. The children religiously took the blessings visiting every deity inside the premises. At one precincts of the temple, 10 statues of Lord Vishnu depicting his 10 incarnations was a big attraction for the students. The accompanying teacher elaborated the purpose and the significance of the incarnations.

The children after witnessing the evening Arti boarded the bus again to return to the hostel. The Principal Neelkamal Sinha stated that such outings rejuvenate the energy levels of the children and also makes them aware of the profoundness of our traditions and culture.
