Bokaro (Jharkhand) : Delhi Public School (DPS) Bokaro, Jharkhand, added yet another feather to its cap with the outstanding performance of its students at Swami Chinmayananda Inter- School Open Chess Championships 2019 organised by Bokaro District Chess Association at Chinmaya School Bokaro last week.
Abeer Dhingra, the youngest participant from the school, bagged the second position in U-9 category. In U-11 category, Bignesh Sahu bagged the first position while Shubh and Shayaan Anish secured the second and third positions respectively. In U-13 category, Siddhant Vaibhav secured the third position whereas Aditya Raj secured the first position. Raj was also declared the overall champion. The winners received a trophy and a certificate each.
Congratulating the winners, Principal, DPS Bokaro, A S Gangwar, said that the desire to be winners early in life helps students develop a sense of responsibility. It contributes towards their positive growth and makes them the change makers of tomorrow.
