Patna : Top seed and World No 1 Novak Djokovic, 33, Serbia, and 6th seed Alexander Zverev, 23, Germany, reached quarter-finals of Australian Open (AO) 2021 on February 14, 2021.

Djokovic, the winner of 17 Grand Slam singles titles including 8 AO titles, took four-sets to beat 14th seed Milos Raonic, 30, Canada, in 4th round at Melbourne Park, Australia, on February 14, 2021. Defending champion Djokovic defeated Raonic 7-6, 4-6, 6-1, 6-4. Raonic though hammered 26 Aces in the match to 10 by Djokovic. Djokovic, however, won 3 break points during the match to 1 by the Canadian. The Serbian won 5 games in a row in the match to 3 by the Canadian World No 14.  Djokovic, in all, won 130 points in the match to 114 by Raonic.

World No 7 Alexander Zverev beat 23rd seed Dusan Lajovic, 30, Serbia, in straight sets 6-4, 7-6, 6-3 in 4th round. Zverev hammered 15 Aces in the match to just 1 by World No 27 Lajovic. He also won 4 break points during the match to 2 by the Serbian. The German won 3 games in a row to 2 by the Serbian. Zverev, in all, won 114 points during the match to 97 by Lajovic.

Earlier on the day, 18th seed Grigor Dimitrov, 29, Bulgaria,  and qualifier Aslan Karatsev, 27, Russia, reached the QFs of the tournament. Dimitrov and Karatsev will clash in the QFs on February 16, 2021.
