Patna :  West Indies (WI) defeated Bangladesh (BAN) by 17 runs on Day 4 in the the 2nd test at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka, Bangladesh, on February 14, 2021, to sweep the two-match test series 2-0 making history as several senior players including regular captain Jason Holder and Roston Chase had opted out of the series due to threat posed by Coronavirus. Set a target of 230 runs, Bangladesh were bowled out for 213 runs. WI had scored 409 in first innings and 117 in 2nd innings while Bangaladesh scored 296 in their first innings and 217 in 2nd innings.

Spinner Rakheem Cornwall, 28, was named Player Of The Match for taking 9 wickets in the match – five in Bangladesh first innings and 4 in second innings. Nkrumah Bonner, 32, who scored 17 & 86 in 1st test and 90 & 38 in 2nd test, was named Player Of The Series. Bonner was playing only his 2nd test. WI captain & opener Kraigg Brathwaite, 28, took 3/25 with his spin bowling.

In Bangladesh 2nd innings, opener Tamim Iqbal scored 50 runs while captain Mominul Haque scored 26. Mehidy Hasan, who had scored 57 in first innings, made 31 runs in 2nd innings. Mehidy Hasan had also scored 103 in first innings in 1st test.
