Dist Mines Officer, W Champaran, lodges case against 18 illegal miners

Bagaha : District Mines & Geology Officer, West Champaran, Sarvesh Kumar Sambhav, accompanied by Circle Officer, Bagaha-2 Circle  Rakesh Kumar, and SHO of Valmikinagar Police Station Jai Prakash  Singh, carried out raids at illegal quarries run by illegal miners near Valmkinagar Aerodrome, Tharhi, Kailashpur, Bhatiyani, Piparakutti under Valmikinagar police station on June 26, 2019.

Sources said that all the illegal miners and their labourers fled away from the scene before the arrival of the flying squad. District Mines & Geology Officer Sarvesh Kumar Sambhav, however, lodged a case against 18 named persons with Valmikinagar police station under different Sections of Minor Minerals Concession Amendment  Act 1972, on June 26.
