Bagaha : Additional District Judge-I, Bagaha, Durgesh Mani Tripathi, on June 27, 2019, sentenced Tara Yadav, 40, son of Narayan Yadav of Manpur Rta under Chautarawa (Bathawria) police station, to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment and also slapped a fine of Rs 10,000 on him in a rape case lodged on June 20, 2016, by the survivor with Chautarawa police station.
Additional Public Prosecutor Jitendra Kumar Bharti said that the victim, a resident of Bathawaria Nawakatola, had alone gone to Manpur Reta for fodder, where Tara Yadav raped her finding her alone on June 20, 2016, around 7 am after forcibly dragging her to a sugarcane field. Eight witnesses deposed before the court in the favour of prosecution. Jitendra Kumar, advocate ,appeared before the court as defence lawyer.
