Ara: The differently abled persons of general category will enjoy fee relaxation like Women, Schedule Castes and Schedule Tribes students at all the state level competitive examinations and in higher education. The state government has decided to give them fee relaxation up to three fourth of the fee and now the differently abled students of unreserved quota have to pay only one fourth of the fee. The decision was taken under Bihar State Differently Abled Empowerment Policy—2015
Additional Secretary, general administration department, Rajendra Ram, has issued a letter under Differently Abled Act 1995 to all the Principal Secretary, Secretary, Commissioners, Vice-Chancellors, District Magistrates, Bihar Public Service Commission, Patna, Secretary, Bihar Staff Selection Commission, Secretary, Bihar School Examination Board, Registrar general, Patna High Court and others in this regard.
Vice-Chancellor, Veer Kuer Singh University, Ara, Leela Chand Sah said that the university had received the letter and the students concerned would have to submit a form duly filled to the university office. He said all the departments had been directed to abide by the order of the state government.
