Ara: Resentment prevails among the students due to the failure of the Veer Kuer Singh University (VKSU) to start teaching in MEd course. Though the university has all basic infrastructures for the purpose and is running B.Ed course but MEd course has not started so far. As a result, the students have to go outside old Shahabad district that includes Bhojpur, Buxar, Kaimur and Rohtas districts to do M.Ed.
B.Ed class is held in a four room building on the campus of VKSU even as a new building at Zero Mile was built at a huge cost several years ago. But, the education department of the university has so far not been shifted to that building. Teaching in MEd can not be started till education department of university is shifted to the new building though it was decided at several meetings of the university to shift it.
The Vice-Chancellor, VKSU, said that an application has been sent to the NCTE to start teaching in MEd and the teaching in this course would start as soon as the NCTE approves it. He said process has been started to shift the education department to the new building and hoped teaching in B.Ed and MEd, if approved by the NCTE, would start in the new building from this session.
Meanwhile, the VKSU administration announced date of filling of examination forms for the PG semester I, II and III old course. The examination forms would be filled up from June 3 to June 20 and examination would be held in July and the date for it would be announced later, said the VC.
