DCLR, Piro, arrested accepting Rs 20,000 as bribe

Ara : A State Vigilance Investigation Bureau team from Patna on June 14, 2017, arrested the Deputy Collector Land Reforms (DCLR), Piro, in Bhojpur district, Prabhash Kumar, from Ara red handed accepting Rs 20,000 as bribe.

DCLR, Piro, Prabhash Kumar had demanded Rs 50,000 from the Panchayat president, Sikarhatta, and JD(U) leader Dhananjay Prasad for removing encroachments from the land of the Zila Parishad and he was giving Rs 20,000 to DCLR Kumar as first the installment. Dhananjay Prasad had lodged complaint with the Vigilance Investigation Bureau and a vigilance team immediately laid a trap and arrested the DCLR red handed while taking Rs 20,000 from Dhananjay Prasad. Later, the vigilance team took him to Patna.
