DC score 147/6 against CSK in 5th match of IPL-12

Patna : Delhi Capitals (DC) scored a modest 147/6 against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the 5th match of IPL-12 at Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi, on March 27, 2019, night, with opener Shikhar Dhawan scoring 51 in 47 balls with 7 fours and Rishabh Pant (wk) 25 in 13 balls with 2 fours and a six. Dwayne Bravo took 3/32 in 4 overs taking the wickets of Shikhar Dhawan, Rishabh Pant, and Colin Ingram (2) and restricting the flow of runs.

Electing to bat after winning the toss, DC lost the wicket of opener Prithvi Shaw when the score was 36. Shaw fell to fast bowler Deepak Chahar for 24. Shaw hit fast bowler Shardul Thakur for three consecutive fours in his first over forcing CSK captain M S Dhoni to take him out of the attack. DC captain Shreyas Iyer fell to spinner Imran Tahir for 18 making it 79/2 while Ribhash Pant got out when the score was 120. Axar patel and Rahul Twatia remained unbeaten on 9 and 11 runs respectively.

For CSK, while Bravo took three wickets, Chahar, Ravindra Jadeja, and Imran Tahit took one wicket each.
