Kartik Jindal qualifies for Yonex-Sunrise India Open Badminton tournament

Patna : World No 257 Kartik Jindal, 20, India, qualified for the main draw of Yonex-Sunrise India Open 2019, a Badminton World Federation (BWF) World Tour Super 500 event, at Siri Fort Indoor Stadium, New Delhi, on March 26, 2019. Jindal, who had slipped 41 places in BWF rankings on released on March 26, 2019, will face World No 19 and 7th seed Khosit Phretpradab, 24, Thailand, in the first round of India Open on March 27, 2019.

In the women’s singles, World No 6 P V Sindhi, India, the second seed, will play World No 71 Mugdha Agrey, 19, India, in the first round.
