CSP agent Mohan Pandey succumbs to gunshot injuries

Ara : A Customer Service Point (CSP) kiosk agent, Karaza Bazaar under Bihia police station in Bhojpur district, of the State Bank of India Mohan Kumar Pandey, who was shot at by criminals to loot cash from him on April 3, 2018, succumbed to his injuries at a private clinic at Patna on April 4, 2018.

Police brought his body over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem and handed over the body to the family members after postmortem. Later, the villagers and family members blocked the Bihia roundabout with the body paralysing movement of vehicles for about four hours. They burnt tyres on road and raised slogans against the district administration. They were demanding compensation to the next of kin of deceased and arrest of the killers. The blockade was lifted after positive response from police officials.

SHO, Bihia police station, said that about six motorcycle borne criminals waylaid and shot at Mohan Kumar Pandey, 45, seriously injured him between Baraza and Chanaur villages under Bihia police station on April 3 afternoon when he was returning on his motorcycle after drawing money from the Belwania branch of the SBI. The criminals also looted Rs 90,000 from Pandey and escaped. Later, police brought him to Ara Sadar Hospital but the doctors there referred him to Patna Medical College and Hospital. The deceased was a resident of village Nainijor under Brahmpur police station in Buxar district.
