Ara : A daily wage earner Jagnarayan Chaurasia, son of Tirath Nath Chaurasia, committed suicide by hanging himself to the ceiling of a room of the house in Gausganj locality under Town police station, Ara, on April 4, 2018. Police brought the body over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. Poverty is said to be the reason behind the incident.
SHO, Town police station, said that Jagnarayan Chaurasia was very poor and earned Rs 20 to Rs 30 daily by selling calcium (chuna) in polythene bags. He lived with his sister in Gausganj locality under Town police station. Jagnarayan had three children.
