Gopalganj: Motorcycle-borne criminals looted Rs. 75,000 cash from an employee of Bandhan Bank on Meerganj-Balesara road under Meerganj police station in Gopalganj district on December 12. The criminals also assaulted the employee when he tried to resist them. Eyewitnesses said that Bandhan Bank employee Subhash Prasad was returning from village Dharnihata after collecting the dues. As he reached Meerganj-Balesara road, motorcycle borne criminals intercepted him and looted his bag containing cash and sped away. Subhash informed the local police about the incident. Meerganj ps SHO B P Alok said that raids were on to arrest those involved in cash loot.
