CPI(ML) workers stage dharna at Bagaha

Bagaha : The CPI(ML) activists staged dharna at Ambedakar statue, Bagaha, in support of mid-day meal cooks who are on strike since January 7, 2019. The CPI(ML) worker termed the strike of mid-day meal cooks as genuine.

The CPI(ML) workers held a public meeting at dharna venue accused Nitish government of giving a raw deal to the mid-day meal cooks in the state violating Minimum Wages Act. The CPI(ML) leaders including Bhikhari Prasad, Lal Babu prasad and Ramesh Chaudhay criticised the policy of the Nitish government sayingthe cooks are getting Rs 34 per day for their service while a labourer gets Rs 247.
