Ara : Two cousins of Bhojpur district tied knot at a temple at Varanasi, UP, on July 17, 2018. After marriage, they returned to Ara and went to Nawada police station, Ara, on July 31, 2018, and demanded their safety and security after narrating the entire story to police. Police informed their family members and called them over to the police station.

SHO, Nawada police station, Subodh Kumar said that Ravi Kumar of village Banauli under Narayanpur police station in Bhojpur district lived in Vishnunagar locality under Nawada police station. He fell in love with his cousin sister but dared not to tell the matter to their family members and so they fled away from their house and reached Varanasi where they tied the knot at a temple on July 17. They returned Ara on July 30 but were afraid of their family members and did not go home. They reached Nawada police station and demanded security and safety for themselves, the SHO said.
