Buxar : First Class Judicial Magistrate, Buxar Civil Court, Ramesh Kumar, on June 7, 2017, sentenced to one year imprisonment one Sunil Kumar Pandey and also slapped a fine of Rs 6 lakh on him in a cheque bounce case. Sunil Kumar Pandey was sent to Buxar Central jail.
Vimlesh Kumar Singh of village Ramboria under Buxar block had given Rs4.26 lakh to Sunil Kumar Pandey of Pandeypur in 2013 for his sister’s marriage. Sunil Kumar Pandey gave a cheque of Rs 4.26 lakh to Vimlesh Kumar Singh on October 13, 2014.
When Vimlesh Kumar Singh deposited the cheque in the bank for clearance, the cheque bounced as the bank account of Sunil Kumar Pandey had no money. Vimlesh Kumar Singh informed Sunil Kumar Pandey in this regard but Sunil Kumar Pandey adopted dilly dallying tactics. Fed up with it, Vimlesh Kumar Singh filed a complaint case in the court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Buxar Civil Court, on January 13, 2015, and the CJM transferred the case to the court of the First Class Judicial Magistrate.
