Couple sustain injury in attack by man

Gopalganj: A couple sustained injuries when they were attacked by a sharpedged weapon (dab) at village Pokharbhinda under Kuchaikot police station in Gopalganj district on December 27. Both of them were admitted to  local primary health centre. Police said that one Prahlad Tiwary, a native of village Phulwariya, used to purchase milk and curd from Jawahar Chourasia, a native of Pokharbhinda village, regularly. Jawahar could not provide milk and curd to him on December 27 and this enraged Tiwary, who attacked Chourasiya with a dab. When his wife tried to intervene, she too was also attacked by the same weapon. Police are carrying out raids to arrest Tiwary after a written complaint was lodged by the couple.
